Lodestone opened in July of 2026 - transforming the old Bakery and Pioneer Bar buildings in Frederic, Wisconsin into a unique space where bar, restaurant, and bakery can all work together.
The kitchen serves savory burgers and sandwiches on our own house breads and buns, and will offer Rotating Specials featuring soups, salads, and flavors we love from a variety of cuisines.
The bar offers an expanded selection of liquor, wines, beer, and N/A beverages, and a rotating shaker cocktail list (beginning late September).
Pull up a seat in our main bar and restaurant or enjoy some time on our more colorful side - The Sun Spot - shared with our adjoining retail bakery (set to open late Fall 2026).
ABOUT OUR NAME: A Lodestone is naturally magnetized piece of the mineral magnetite. Historically, these stones were used as early compasses for navigation, with the name stemming from Middle English, meaning “leading stone” or “course stone.” It’s also used to describe someone or something with the power of attraction.
